Project Description

Kenyon were appointed to fit out the Mortuary area for a well- known Scottish Funeral Director. Kenyon designed and manufactured a totally Modular Body Chamber utilising “Push and Pull Cam-locks”. The Chamber was fitted with a Stainless Steel fully height adjustable Body Racking system made from 316 Grade Stainless Steel. The Stainless Steel was hand polished in our Polishing department to create a “Mirror Finish”.

The Body Trays were formed and made again from 316 Stainless Steel and polished by hand at Kenyon. Internal Chamber flooring was in 304 Stainless Steel. The Refrigeration Unit was a Kenyon Mono block unit made in house and with 125% of duty required, bigger Coils and high velocity Fans. This allows the Chamber to pull down to temperature quicker and to rest longer, in turn using less energy.

The Flooring was a safe tread type installed by Kenyon including the Lighting. Ventilation was installed with Fresh Air input at High Level and Extract at Low level. The Mortuary room walls were sheeted in white Plastic sheets. Wall Cupboards and Worktops were installed to the floor and walls. LED (Light Emitting Diodes) Low energy consuming lights were installed in the Ceiling of the room.

A Kenyon “touch button electric” Embalming and Stacking Trolley was also supplied for Embalming and loading/un-loading the Kenyon Chamber.
